There are thousands of wine grape varieties. Well, ok, there are at least 1,368 wine grape varieties, if we’re using Wine Grapes as a reference point. But there are really only so many wine grape varieties that are planted worldwide. We’ll focus here on the ones that are planted in multiple countries and used to make monovarietal wines.
